5 Tips to “Fall” in love with your skin this season!
Here are five fall skincare tips to ensure that you have glowy, dewy skin going into the fall!
1. Switch to a Gentle Cleanser: As the weather cools, skin can become more sensitive and dry. A gentle, hydrating cleanser helps maintain the skin’s moisture barrier while removing impurities.
2. Incorporate a Richer Moisturizer: Swap lightweight summer moisturizers for more nourishing options that include ingredients like ceramides, hyaluronic acid, and glycerin to keep skin hydrated during colder months. These are usually in tubs or pots!
3. Don’t Skip Sunscreen: UV rays can still cause damage in the fall, so continue using SPF daily. Opt for sunscreens with added moisturizers to combat dryness.
4. Exfoliate Regularly but Gently: Cooler weather can lead to dry, flaky skin. Regular but gentle exfoliation (2-3 times a week) helps to slough off dead skin cells and promote smooth, glowing skin. Pick a chemical exfoliant over a physical one to decrease risk of breaking down your skin barrier!
5. Introduce Hydrating Serums: Layer hydrating serums with ingredients like hyaluronic acid, squalane, or niacinamide under your moisturizer to boost hydration and plumpness during the drier months.
